Do you remember when, as a kid, it felt SO good to crawl into bed at the end of the day? Sure, we might have whined a bit and tried to put it off as long as possible, but it sure did feel nice to settle in under the blankets with our favorite pillow. If my kids are any indication, today’s youth are no exception.
Both of my kids sleep with several pillows. On my son’s bed, there are three pillows…and each one has a special pillowcase. There’s the one with the eagles and flames that he made himself, the BSU one that his nana made for him, and the one with saxophones and music notes that I made. My daughter has two pillows and two special pillowcases. The first is the one with pink flowers that she made and the second is the one with pink flowers that her nana made for her. They don’t care if their pillows match their bedding. They just know that they prefer to sleep with their pillowcases.
We’ve made up a basketful of pillowcase kits for both boys and girls in exciting themes and color schemes. Each kit includes the burrito pillowcase pattern. The burrito method results in a beautiful exterior and an interior with finished seams. They are quick to make and guaranteed to be loved by the lucky child that receives them.
If you’d prefer to pick your own fabric or happen to have what you need in your stash, the pattern is free with purchase.
