Gift Inspiration Day One: Wool Scissors Keeper

Welcome to Day One of Quilt Expressions’ 30 Days of Gift Giving Inspiration.   It’s that time of year when each of us wants to create something special for our friends and family.  Sometimes, though, we just need a little inspiration.   For the next thirty days, we’ll be sharing some new projects, some updated past gift ideas and a few store favorites.  We hope that you’ll be able to find something for everyone on your list.  Thanks so much for joining us!

Day One:  Wool Scissors Keeper

This fun little project was first introduced at our September Everything Series on wool.  The kits that we’d prepared sold out that very day!   The Scissors Keeper is the perfect size to hold your favorite pair of embroidery scissors.

Is there someone on your list who sews and has enough fabric to open her own store, all of the new tools and rulers, and every pattern created?  How about a young child or grandchild who is just getting interested in sewing?   The Scissors Keeper is the perfect gift for the sewist who has it all or for someone just starting out.  We love that it fits quite nicely inside a stocking or in a gift bag with a sampling of wool, pearl cotton and new needles.

The ladies at the store have been hard at work creating new kits in a wide assortment of color schemes.   The pattern for the Scissors Keeper is included in each kit.  The kits are located in the wool section of the store.  Patterns are also available for free either in-store or on-line with your purchase at Quilt Expressions.  On-line customers:  Please request a copy of the pattern in the “Special Comments and Instructions” section of the checkout screen when placing your order.
